Fell Orienteering is a unique, annual long distance 2-days orienteering Event in the Finnish Lapland. Basically the Fell Orienteering is intended to the teams with two competitor (further called "Couple"). It is also possible to compete alone on individual classes. Keep-fit classes have no competitive purpose. Couple Classes and Distances: H21A 25–27 km, H21B 17–19 km, H21C14-16 km, H80 16–18 km, H95 16–17 km, H110 14–16 km, H125 12–13 km, H38 16–17 km, H32 12–14 km, D21A 19–20 km, D21C 11–13 km, D80 12–13 km, D95 11–12 km D110 10–11 km, D125 9-11 km, D38 12–13 km, D32 10–11 km. Notice: "H" classes are for men and "D" classes for ladies. Age limits : in Junior classes 32/38 ages together can not be more than 32/38 . In Senior classes 80/95/110/125 ages together must be at least 80/95/110/125. The ages of competitors determined according their Year of Birth. Example: competitors are that year when race is , 52 and 57, their ages are together 109 - so their class is 95. Of course they can compete in classes for younger. Only the year of Birth matters. Mixed Classes for couple ( male and female): H/DA 15–16 km, H/DB 10-12 km, H/DC 9-11 km. Time rebate for age is 1 minute /year, when the total age of couple is more than 70 year. Keep-fit Classes for couple ( for amateurs) : 9-11 km Individual Classes: : HA 18–21 km, HB 14–15 km, DA 15–16 km, DB 11–13 km Entry fees: Individual classes 35 € and couple classes 55 €. Registration: Online registration will be opened during April 2009. When you register, you must apprise year of birth. |
